Staffordshire paedophile, 47, with ‘long-standing sexual interest’ in children jailed for abusing young girls

Pervert Colin George has been jailed for more than six years after engaging in sexual activity with two young girls.

Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court heard the 47-year-old, of Oakdene Avenue, Bradwell, has a ‘long-standing sexual interest’ in children.

He pleaded guilty to five counts of causing or inciting a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity, along with two offences of making indecent photographs of children.

Prosecutor Julian Taylor told the court that police visited George’s home on November 7 last year and seized his computer, on which they found 23 indecent images – two in category B and 21 in category C.

But while being interviewed by the police, the defendant admitted to some of the sexual activity offences relating to one of the girls.

The two victims subsequently reported the offences, which related to several incidents.

The court heard that George had been viewing indecent images online for seven years or more, before moving on to physical offences.

George denied a sixth charge of causing or inciting a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity, and Judge Paul Glenn ruled that a not guilty verdict would be recorded.

He has now jailed the defendant for six years and four months, with an extended licence period of five years.

George will also be the subject of a sexual harm prevention order, which restricts his use of the internet and bars him from contacting his victims.
