Pervert admits making indecent images of children

A pervert has pleaded guilty to making a slew of indecent images of children.

John Kirby pleaded guilty yesterday to six counts of making indecent images of children and four counts of breaching a sexual offences order.

The 57-year-old, of Penrose Drive in Banbury, appeared via video link at Oxford Crown Court yesterday.

The court heard that he made the images in January and February of this year, of which more than a dozen were classed as category A.

This is the most serious of the three categories of indecent images, and covers penetrative sexual activity, sexual activity with an animal or sadism.

The court heard Kirby had made five still images and two category A moving images, on or before January 8 of this year, and six category A images on or before February 5.

Other counts related to lesser category B and C indecent images.

The breach of order offences mostly related to Kirby trying to access indecent images online, contrary to an order put in place by Basildon Crown Court in 2009.

Kirby also pleaded not guilty to one count of possessing an extreme pornographic image, and two other counts of breaching a sexual offences order.

Judge Maria Lamb ordered those counts to lie on file, and scheduled sentencing for the remaining matters for December 17.
