Footage shows William Kennedy, 36, being confronted at his home in East Kilbride, Lanarkshire, in July last year.
William, along with his brother Christopher Kennedy, 31, appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Wednesday after sending sordid messages to girls they believed were 14 after contacting them on adult dating sites.
They chatted online before bombarding them with explicit messages and obscene photos.
But the paedo pair had actually been speaking to members of groups who later appeared at their doorstep before calling police, much to the shock of their stunned mother.
During the clip of William Kennedy, members of the Child Protectors Scotland group grill the pervert about his conversations with the ‘schoolgirls’.
One member said: “You’ve sent this picture of your penis?”
Covering his face with one hand a sheepish Kennedy replies: “Oh, that was my fault, that was a mistake.”
The Child Protectors Scotland member replied: “How could sending a picture of your penis to a 14-year-old be a mistake?”
Kennedy said: “She turned 15 on Friday, she told me.”
Reading the messages the member said: “I can’t believe I’m going out with a 14-year-old, babe.
“I bet you can’t believe you’re going out with a 34-year-old.”
“I didn’t even mean it,” Kennedy said.
The member added: “When you arranged to meet you asked, ‘would you let me put my penis up your a**e?'”
Looking distressed Kennedy then sits down on his front step clutching his rib cage.
“I can’t breathe,” he said.
Another member warns Kennedy that the police had been called and that they were on their way.
William and his brother Christopher were held within days of each other after police visited the home they shared with their shocked mother.
Both appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court and admitted sending messages of a sexual nature in an attempt to communicate indecently with a child and sending a sexual image.
William admitted offences from July last year including making arrangements to meet an underage girl for sex. He is due to be sentenced next month.
Christopher had earlier admitted offences between June and July last year and was handed a two-year supervision order.
Depute fiscal Jennifer McLaren told how William was caught by Child Protectors Scotland after using an online dating site.
She said: “In July the witness logged on to an adult dating website and was contacted by the accused who told her his age.
“The decoy responded that she was 14 and from Glasgow and he said he was 34 from Scotland.
“He told the decoy to message him on Kik Messenger and after a while he sent her his mobile phone number and continued talking on WhatsApp.
“The messages were sexual in nature and he also sent a photograph of his penis.
“They arranged to meet at Blantyre bus station to engage in sexual intercourse but he later cancelled saying he had been injured.
“That day witnesses of the vigilante group attended at the accused’s home address and a verbal exchange took place which was live streamed on Facebook.
“When interviewed by police he made full admissions and apologised and said he was disgusted by the photograph he had sent.”
Christopher had earlier admitted sending links to pornographic sites, sexual images and a picture of himself performing a sex act to what he believed to be a 14-year-old schoolgirl.
But he was talking to paedophile hunters United 4 the Kids and was reported to police.
The group later turned up at his home in East Kilbride under the pretence of being a courier and the sting was streamed live online.
His shocked mother answered the door and was recorded turning to her son and saying: ‘You haven’t, have you?’
He was handed a two-year supervision order by Sheriff David Bicket in June and placed on the sex offenders’ register for two years.
Sheriff Ray Small deferred sentence on William until next month for reports, continued bail and placed him on the sex offenders’ register.
