Flasher threatened to rape teen before stalking her for months in Leeds

A pervert stalked a teenager for months in Leeds after exposing himself to her and threatening to rape her.

Alireza Nourozi-Varnkesh left the 18-year-old college student frightened to leave her home because she feared she would see him.

The 37-year-old made obscene sexual gestures towards the young woman as she passed his car or van on multiple occasions in 2018.

Leeds Crown Court heard the victim tried to ignore him but on June 29, 2018 he got out of the vehicle.

He stood in front of her and exposed himself while making sexual comments.

When she threatened to call police he backed off but said he was going to rape her.

On August 26, 2018, the victim was walking with her mother when Nourozi-Varnkesh made obscene sexual gestures at her again.

He was arrested after being reported to the police.

Nourozi-Varnkesh, of Sandlewood Close, Holbeck, Leeds, pleaded guilty to indecent exposure and stalking.

He has a previous conviction for indecent exposure.

Jailing Nourozi-Varnkesh for 20 months, Judge Mushtaq Khokar told him: “She couldn’t even step out of her house without thinking of you being there.”

Nourozi-Varnkesh was also made the subject of a five-year sexual harm prevention order.
