Pervert dad-of-two had 139 indecent images of children – including adults having sex with kids

A pervert with an addiction to pornography was found with a staggering haul of indecent images.

The man, from Staffordshire, has escaped jailed after being caught with 139 indecent images – including adults having sex with children.

Children in the images were as young as THREE, a court in the Midlands heard.

Craig Williams, a dad of two, was arrested after police executed a search warrant at his Porthill home.

Officers seized his mobile phone which was found to contain the 139 indecent images of children – including adults having penetrative sex with infants.

Now the 37-year-old has been handed a three-year community order at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court

Police went to the defendant’s Tennant Place home on November 1, 2018.

Prosecutor Brian McKenna said: “Police had intelligence that indecent images of children were being uploaded from that address. The defendant immediately indicated he was the one to be spoken to. He was arrested.”

The images were downloaded between December, 2017 and September, 2018. The ages of the children in the images ranged from three to 14.

Williams pleaded guilty to three offences of making indecent images of children.

Judge Paul Glenn told Williams: “These were images of real children being abused, almost certainly irreparably damaged, for the entertainment of people like you. And people such as you who view that vile material encourage those who perpetrate the abuse. Some of the children were very young.

“I am sceptical the images were accidentally downloaded but I accept it is possible you may have received pop-up images. But thereafter you accept searching for images.

“You claim to have no sexual interest in children. I have lost count of the number of times I have seen that contended by people charged with these offences. It is difficult to view that contention as having any credibility at all. I accept you are ashamed and remorseful.

“The reality is any prison sentence would be relatively short and you would serve no more than half, you would lose your job and the stability that brings.

“I think there is a real prospect of rehabilitation. I think that is more in the public interest.”

The defendant must also pay £1,200 costs
