Woman performed sex act on child to please twisted online boyfriend

A paedophile forced a child to perform a sex act on her on orders from her sick boyfriend and sent him pictures on WhatsApp.

Nathan Clarke, 29, had never met his long-distance lover Emma Stevens, 23, until they appeared in the dock together at Teesside Crown Court yesterday afternoon

He had been sent sickening images of half-naked Stevens, from Eston, forcing her victim to perform a sex act on her.

Stevens pleaded guilty to three counts of causing a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity, taking 17 indecent images of the abuse and sending four of them on to Clarke.

Clarke, from Keighley, admitted one count of inciting a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity and three counts of possessing a total of 67 images of children on two mobile phones and a laptop.

Prosector Dan Cordey read out a string of explicit WhatsApp messages between the couple.

He told the court the pair met online while Clarke was living in Spain and exchanged messages constantly, “pretty much all day, every day” for four years.

Clarke had returned to Britain and rented a house on Braithwaite Road, Keighley, from a landlady who stumbled across images of the abuse on his laptop.

He was arrested by police who found tens of category B and C abuse images on his Galaxy mobile, Xperia mobile and Acer laptop.

Passing sentence, Judge Deborah Sherwin said: “I’m satisfied from the messages that I have read that all of this activity was instigated by you Mr Clarke.

“It’s unlikely Ms Stevens would have done this on her own accord.”

Both were sentenced to six years in prison, made to sign the sex offenders’ register for life and subject to a sexual harm prevention order.
