Uxbridge pervert caught by ‘Scorpion Hunters’

A pervert has avoided a prison sentence after he was caught grooming what he believed was a prepubescent schoolgirl for sexual activity

Adam Martin Percy, 32 of Uxbridge appeared at Isleworth Crown Court where he admitted:

  • Adult attempt to engage in sexual communication with a child

  • Offender 18 or over attempting to cause child under 13 to watch or look at an image of sexual activity

The court was told that Percy had contacted the online profile of someone he believed was an 11 year old girl

Percy sent highly sexualised messages in a clear bid to groom the child for sexual activity

In one depraved and disturbing message Percy told the girl that he wanted to engage her in anal sexual intercourse

Percy also edited her pictures with the words: “I love you” and then sent them back to her.

However, the child did not exist and was instead an adult member of paedophile hunting team ‘Scorpion Hunters’ who pose online as children to catch sexual predators who target kids

The confronted the offender and questioned him on his internet activity.

A member of the team rang the police and Percy was arrested at the scene.

The judge sentenced Percy to an eight month sentence suspended for eighteen months

Percy was told that he must complete a Horizon rehabilitation programme for medium risk sex offenders

A ten year sexual harm prevention order was imposed and Percy was told to register as a sex offender
