Man sentenced to six years for sex attacks on two young boys in Blairgowrie

A man has been sentenced to more than six years in jail for carrying out sex attacks on children in Blairgowrie in the 1980s.

David Dunn, 52, from Perth, was previously convicted of assaulting two boys, who were both under 16 at the time.

The attacks took place between 1986 and 1989 at a cottage and a caravan at a farm just outside the town.

Dunn, who previously lived in Dundee, was sentenced to a total of six years and one month for the crimes on Wednesday morning at Glasgow High Court by Lord Woolman.

He was convicted of two counts of indecent sexual assault on a child and one count of sexual assault and sodomy on a child.
