A pervert who was exposed by a paedophile hunting team has avoided a prison sentence.
Hitesh Sood of London appeared at court where he faced a number of online child grooming offences.
The court was told that Sood had contacted the online profile of someone he believed belonged to a 13 year old girl.
Sood sent highly sexualised messages and images in a clear bid to groom the child for sexual activity.
However, the child did not exist and was instead a adult member called ‘Ava Young’ of paedophile hunting team ‘Protection for the Innocent’ who pose online as children to catch sexual predators who target kids
In December 2018, paedophile hunting team ‘Scorpion Hubters’ and ‘Team Impact’ confronted Sood on behalf of ‘Ava Young’and questioned him on his internet activity. A member of the team rang the police and Sood was arrested at the scene.
The judge handed Sood a suspended sentence and told him that he must carry out 200 hours of unpaid work
A sexual harm prevention order was imposed until further notice and he was told that he would be on the sex offenders register indefinitely
