Weston man given three-year community order for possessing indecent images of children

A Weston-super-Mare man has been handed a three-year community order after he admitted to possessing almost 200 indecent images of children.

Jason Langley, of Fairview, pleaded guilty to three charges of making indecent images, ranging from categories A to C, which included 105 still images and one moving image in the most severe category, 29 still images in category B and 59 still images in the third category.

Langley, aged 49, was sentenced at Bristol Crown Court on May 1 after he pleaded guilty to the charges at North Somerset Magistrates Court on March 27.

He was made to sign the sex offenders register for five years and was also made the subject of a sexual harm prevention order for the same period of time.

Langley was ordered to forfeit and destroy five mobile phones.

He was also made to pay a victim surcharge of £85.
