Pervert jailed for making over 2000 indecent images of children
A Coventry man who made over 2,000 indecent images of children has been jailed.
Robert Shean made hundreds of child sexual abuse images in each of the categories of severity, and also had an extreme pornographic image involving animals.
He previously pleaded guilty to a total of six offences – also including breaching a sexual harm prevention order – at Coventry Magistrates’ Court in September and was sentenced to 32 months in prison at Warwick Crown Court on Friday, October 19.
Shean, 31, of Harnall Lane, Hillfields, admitted three counts of making indecent images of children – a total of 2,229 images.
Of those, 764 were in category A (the most severe), 630 in category B and 835 in category C.
He also entered guilty pleas to possessing the extreme pornographic image and two counts of breaching his sexual harm prevention order by not disclosing digital devices to police when asked to do so and deleting his internet history, and contacting a child under age of 16 on Instagram.
His offences were committed between April 2017 and August 2018.
As well as being jailed for 32 months, Shean was ordered to sign the sex offenders’ register indefinitely and told to pay a £170 victim surcharge.
