Devy was made subject to a sexual harm prevention order for five years, which includes a prohibition on him covertly using a mobile phone or other device with the capacity to capture still or moving images.
He must register as a sex offender for five years, and must pay £85 costs and an £85 victim surcharge.
Paedophiles locked away for ten years
A paedophile couple who sexually assaulted young boys in Goole have been jailed for a total of ten years.
Police were alerted to the activities of gay couple Andrew Mayall and Scott Devy (23) when Mayall (30) pounced on three boys busking in an underpass in Goole in August last year.
Mayall thought they were living on the streets when in fact they were waiting for relatives.
He offered them money if they would follow him into public toilets in Estcourt Street, which two of them, aged 12 and eight, did.
He lured them separately into a cubicle and pulled their trousers down before sexually assaulting them
The older boy later told police he was ‘scared’ and had said ‘no’, Hull Crown Court heard.
Mayall also attempted, but failed, to take photographs of the boys with his mobile phone.
A police appeal for information led them to search the couple’s flat in Montague Street, revealing further evidence of abuse including a video of both men sexually assaulting a boy, now aged 15.
A total of 181 indecent images of young boys were also found, which Judge Roger Thorn QC described as ‘quite disgusting’.
Mayall was sentenced to five years for inciting a child to engage in sexual activity and three years for two counts of sexual assault, to run concurrently, with 18 months for possessing indecent images.
Devy was given two years for sexual assault and 18 months for possessing indecent images.
The pair were also placed on the sexual offenders’ register for life.
Judge Thorn told them: “Despite your retreating in self-denial you are going to have to accept you are both paedophiles with a wholly inappropriate interest in young boys.”
