Man found guilty of several sexual offences on children
A man convicted of several child sexual offences has appeared at Manchester crown court
Unemployed Michael Ward, 26 of Salford, Manchester was found guilty of sexual activity with a child, indecent assault on a child and sexual intercourse with a child. All the charges relate to two girls who were under the age of 16 years old
One girl was targeted from the age of eight until she was 15 years old
Ward was finally caught when one of his female victims went to the police about what she had had to endure.
Originally, Ward had denied the offences but at a previous court appearance in October he finally admitted to his actions, saving his two victims from giving evidence in court
Michael Ward was sentenced to a three year community order, ordered to attend a sex offenders programme, and to be supervised by the probation service for three years.
He must also sign the sex offenders register for five years
