Jail for knifepoint sex attacker

A man who indecently assaulted a 13-year-old schoolgirl at knifepoint has been jailed for five years.

Clovis Morrison, 35, drew the knife across the girl’s neck before forcing her to perform a sex act.

Morrison, of Kimble Drive, Bedford, pleaded guilty to assault causing actual bodily harm and indecent assault in Bedford on 19 March last year.

Morrison’s defence said he was ashamed and disgusted and very sorry for putting the girl through the ordeal.

“He was disinhibited by alcohol at the time and unable to control his impulsive behaviour that day,” said defence lawyer Michael Skelley

Judge Ronald Moss told Morrison: “This was a very serious offence. You forced yourself upon that girl at knifepoint.

“You injured her with that knife and although the injuries were not serious it was part and parcel of your objective to get what you wanted from her. She had to comply.”

In addition to the jail term he passed an extended licence period of three years, ordered him to register as a sex offender for life and also disqualified him from ever working with children.
