Freed perv back in jail

A FREED paedophile who broke parole last week by threatening to track down his victim was back behind bars last night.

Anthony Horwood, 57, vowed to find the boy he assaulted in an attempt, he claimed, to prove he was innocent.

Parents raised the alarm when he moved back to the flat in Bournemouth, Dorset, where he attacked the youngster. The boy is believed to live nearby.

Horwood – jailed for eight years in 1996 for indecent assault and gross indecency – was promptly re-arrested.

He could now serve his full term unless he is considered for parole again.

Local Tory MP David Atkinson said yesterday he would raise Horwood’s release with police.

He said: “Misjudgments are made at the expense of victims.” Horwood said the only way he could clear his name was to get fresh evidence from his victim.
