Vile paedophile David Logan taunts the law and his victims as he awaits sentence for hoarding sick pics
A paedophile who posed beside a sign that said “beware children” has been sentenced to two and a half years in prison for possessing thousands of harrowing images of children.
David Logan, from Clydebank, had almost 5000 pictures of his victims and 239 movies of child abuse. Several of the images were ranked by prosecutors at level 5 – the worst under the law.
Logan was charged with having indecent photographs of children between February 2007 and September 2010 contrary to the Civic Government (Scotland) Act 1982.
Previously the paedophile posed in front of a sign that said “beware children” and he also wore a T-shirt which read “calm down – you’re scaring the children”.
The pictures were posted on social networking site Facebook but were later removed by Logan.
The 24-year-old, who pled guilty in August, was sentenced at Dumbarton Sheriff Court to 30 months in prison – six months of which will be a custodial sentence and a further 24 months of supervision.
He will also be put on the sex offenders register for ten years.
Sheriff David Hall said: “Viewing and downloading indecent photographs of which each photo represents serious abuse of the child depicted in the photo created a demand for this material. Such offence could be said to attribute to the pain and discomfort of the child.”
